Graphic Liner: The Ultimate Brush List

Updated: Sep 18, 2023

If you're a lover of graphic liner, you'll know that the right tools can make all the difference. From crisp wings to intricate details, the brushes you choose can truly make or break your look.

Glisten Cosmetics

Price: £6.50

It's no surprise that Glisten Cosmetics produce some of the best graphic liner brushes in the game. With plenty of options to explore, I'll share my personal favourites from their collection and explain why these have become staples in my kit.

Number 7:

The all rounder. The number 7 brush is my ultimate go-to. Its thin bristles make it perfect for intricate details and sharp wings, while its shorter length ensures you won't accidentally overload it with product. Whether you're crafting delicate accents or creating sharp wings, this brush is the best for versatility.

Flat Brush F4:

The cleanup artist. For those moments where you may need to touch up, the F4 flat brush is my saviour. Its slim, flat shape is tailored for refining wings or correcting any unexpected wobbles. Simply wet the brush with water or cleanser and you can wipe away any imperfections.

Number 2:

The detail maestro. When it's time to channel your inner perfectionist, the Number 2 brush shines. Its small size is purpose-built for intricate artistry and whilst not suited for quick and sharp wings, it thrives in the details. Whether it's delicate dots or intricate patterns, this brush brings forth a level of precision that can't be overlooked.

About Face

Price: $5.00

About Face is in my opinion one of the most exciting artist-driven brands in the game. Although they themselves do not stock any water-activated liners, they do have some great and versatile brush options that should not be overlooked.

Detail Liner Brush:

For the fast and bold. A fairly fairly recent release from About Face this brush is a great addition to any graphic liner brush collection. Being slightly thicker than Glisten Cosmetic's Number 7 it's perfect for easy, fast and bold wings.

Amazon

Price: £8.99 for a set of 5

Amazon nail art brushes have a special place in my heart as they were the first brushes I used with the intention of creating graphic liner looks. And they still hold a well-deserved place in my collection to this day.

An interesting highlight is the inclusion of nail dotting tools. These unassuming tools pack a punch when it comes to effortless dot stamping. Seamlessly integrating into your creative process, they're a subtle yet effective addition which are definitely worth a look.
